Where can I find my policy and terms and conditions?

What is the difference between a policy document and terms and conditions?
The policy document shows your details, coverage, and amounts. The terms and conditions describe what is and is not covered. In the event of a discrepancy, the policy document usually takes precedence.
Am I double insured?
That happens, for example, legal assistance via two policies or travel coverage via a credit card. We check it and remove duplicate premiums.
What does “guarantee against underinsurance” mean?
The insurer will then pay out in full, even if the insured amount turns out to be too low — provided you filled out the valuation form correctly.

What do I need to report when moving?

Can I cancel my insurance daily?
After the first contract year, usually yes, with a notice period of typically one month.
Will I get a premium refund if I cancel early?
Generally, overpaid premiums are refunded proportionally, sometimes subject to deduction of costs.

Not always — the deductible and loss of no-claims bonus can outweigh the amount of damage.
Am I allowed to have it repaired myself?
Emergency repairs to prevent further damage are always permitted. Wait with permanent repairs until the insurer gives approval.
My claim has been rejected — what now?
You are entitled to a reasoned decision. We will assess it and enter into discussions on your behalf; after that, the Kifid can proceed.

Usually not — glass damage falls under limited comprehensive coverage and generally does not cost any no-claims years.
Do I transfer my no-claims bonus when switching?

Is my car insured if someone else drives it?
Generally yes, provided the person is authorized to drive. Watch out for any age clauses or a higher deductible for young drivers.
